First-Day Jitters and "Real" Writing

This morning, I got up one hour before my scheduled wake-up time. It’s not because I was excited about my new job but because of the edgy feeling that disturbed my entire system. Yes, once again, I was having first-day jitters, which I really wished I’d rather not feel as early as five in the morning with an empty stomach coz it only made me want to throw up.

The first three hours went well—orientation, contract signing, company tour, etc. I felt relaxed.

Then we had lunch at Yellow Cab (with Epac Alumni). More relaxed and at home this time. Thank God they were there.

Generally, I found my new job challenging since “writing” could now have a different, more sensible meaning than it used to have. Way back, I don’t refer to myself as a real, serious writer but more of a joke-time-writer since what I produced during my stay at my previous company (I’m talking about one whole year) are gibberish, non-unified, mediocre works. Now that I am here, and now that I was given an overview of their copywriting tasks, I am hoping that I could give justice to the words “writing” and “writer”.
